A Review of the Film ‘’AMERICAN DRIVER’’

American Driver is a light comedy film run for an hour-plus (1 hour fourty munites to be specific). The film is written by Patrick Nnamani and Moses Inwang, and Edited by Tunde Bakare and Obiajulu Coby-Ejiagwa. The film didn’t meet up to expectation as no moral lesson could be deduced from it.

Here is the list of the film character Evan King as Jack Curry, Jim Iyke, Anita Chris Nwaezeapu as Kate, Mc Pc The comedian as Sunny, Nse Ikpe- Etim, Ayodeji Richard Makun, Emma Nyra, Nadia Buari, Laura Heuston as Mrs. Curry, Melvin Oduah, Michael Tula as Philip, Johnny Dewan as Indian restaurant attendant, Andie Raven as Dr. Raven, and Vickey Burns as Nurse.

American Driver story unfold as Jack’s mum wake him up on a certain morning to get himself a job. Fortunately, jack curry eventually secured a job to be driving Nigerian celebrity to the annual GIAMA award. Though there are other persons employed together with Jack. His name is Sunny Sunday who claimed to be native born of Auchi. However while Sunny is employed as part-time driver, Jack Curry is a full-time driver.

Along the storyline, Jack Curry in his humorous sense stries to make himself a good friend to Jim Iyke. This, Jim Initially finds no interest for and will like to be left alone. But as time goes on, Jim could discover a kind of humorous craziness in jack’s attitude who he now prefers than any other person as friend. Jim Iyke introduces Jack Curry in the award event as a good friend who has always been kind.

On the other scene of the story is Ayo Makun. On his arrival to America, he is picked up from the Airport by Jack to is lodging. The following morning Ayo is expecting the young white driver (Jack Curry) to drive him around but Sunny happen to come around for the task. While Ayo was trying to resist, Sunny persuaded him to board the car that him and Jack were employed to be carrying them around before the award event took place. As Sunny and Ayo were going, they entered conversations that eventually lead to revealing of Sunny’s identity. Sunny talk like Black American but later confess as a typical Auchi man from Nigeria.
