Governor Akinwunmi Ambode paid an unexpected visit to inspect Majidun waterside for development on the 11th of December 2016. Majidun community had been tagged "Ikorodu Waterfront" as well being view as a violence area characterised by illegal business ranging from buying and selling of fuel gotten through pipeline vandalism. Consequently Majidun fall among the communities that was invaded through a Joint Task Force (JTF) military operation called AWASE, on October 5th 2014. Thus the community's creek and one of its major street (Ilaje and Ayegbajeje) that serve as a link road to Ebute-Ikorodu was been seize, left all other normal businesses over there shut by the military force.
